Control your cravings

After undergoing gastric bypass surgery, you can expect your eating habits to change drastically. Gone are the days when you think that you can eat absolutely everything in sight. Gastric bypass surgery definitely helps you control the way you eat, and by doing this, you stand a better chance of losing weight--which was what you wanted to achieve in the first place, right?

You will have to go on a special diet after your gastric bypass surgery. For one thing, you won't even be able to eat a lot, because it will cause a lot of discomfort and nausea for you if you eat more than you should. Expect to go on a liquid diet for a few days after the procedure. This gastric bypass diet will require you to consume mainly broths, milk, cream soups, and unsweetened fruit juices. Keep in mind that even if these are liquids, you shouldn't drink them too quickly and in large quantities.
